Frankie And Albert

Bob Hudson posted:

In researching Dylan's sources for [As Good As I Been To You] and [World Gone Wrong], Mississippi John Hurt's versions of "Frankie and Albert" (1928, 1963, and 1964) seem to be the "musical" inspirations for the song (Heylin says 1963 more than 1928, though to my ears, 1928 sounds closer musically to D.'s version) -- but Dylan's version shares only two verses with Hurt's ("Frankie was a good girl ..." and "Ain't gonna tell you no stories ...")
